Mary has been employed at The Christian Broadcasting Network (CBN) over 30 years.  CBN began ministering in Hampton Roads in 1961 and has since expanded its ministry around the world reaching people through the gospel and humanitarian efforts.  Having served in the president’s office for 25 of those years, Mary had the opportunity to be involved in the countless outreaches of CBN globally.  In 2015, she was given the opportunity to represent CBN in reaching out to underserved communities locally. In an effort to learn the needs of children and families, CBN joined forces with a number of ministries active in Norfolk’s Park Place community to form the LAUNCH team and held focus groups in the neighborhood to hear their needs and desires.  Thus the LAUNCH outreach began.    

The opportunity to be the hands and feet of Jesus by helping others is Mary’s heart’s desire. In addition to supporting CBN’s other various outreach efforts, serving as part of the LAUNCH leadership team provides a significant opportunity to do this right here at home. She also serves on the advisory team for the Empowerment Center for Children, Youth, and Families (ECCYF). 

Prior to CBN, Mary had a successful 21-year career as a paralegal. She enjoys being active in her church, community, and spending time with her family, especially the grands/great grands!
